I've got books on that subject. If that's your plan, best select your blanks of bow wood now and start them curing. The seasoning takes years and there's loss due to checking (cracks). Hint: you can't make good bows out of anything you're going to find at Lowes, etc.

shep854, YEP & how to make a really effective supressor might also become a necessity! fwiw, my QUIET KILLER is a 160# pull crossbow, with lazer scope. = you cannot hear it over about 50M, if the breeze is blowing at all. yours, sw |

First get a bunch of 30 cal ammo cans for your lay ins. They are small enough to put in a pack and won't allow you to carry more than you can handle. They will also store between studs in a out or inner wall.

I'm not buying or loading a bunch of weird stuff just for some chance that it might be usable or saleable. I'm not changing calibers or adding guns to the collection. if shtf, everyone will be carrying a longarm, so the pistol better get very, very little action, or you wont' make it. It doesn't take much skill at all, with a 12 ga auto and buckshot, to outperform the best handgunners at 10 yds+ of range, when it's for real. Take those muffs off your ears, and let it be dark, and see how poorly the handgun does, at ranges beyond about 5 yds. Also, by the time that I fire even 50 rds of suppressed .22, there's going to be a lot of guns and ammo lying beside the dead bodies of bad guys. So I am not worried about not having enough ammo for shtf. There won't be any practicing being done, because the noise will call in your killers. There won't be any animals to shoot after the first month or so, either.
