This was my L1A1 with Trilux L2A2 which I used to own, and the Dutch version from the FN FAL I had in the Army (different frontsight with cover, swiffel on the left side of the stock and a anti-slamfire device in the boltcarier).

Greets,

Roger

My FAL is naked right now.

I built this L1A1 after finding the stock at Tapco. They had a handful of these New Zealand Air Force stocks on hand a long while back and I was lucky enough to get one:

This is as close as I could get to making an identical copy of this rifle and still remain compliant.

If I'm goeing to buy a FAL again, it will be the one I had in the army. The Dutch modification of the Belgium FN FAL (pic in last message). I don't know, I like the looks of it and it has some nice gedgets like a covered front sight, fixed rearsight with coverears,(only windage adjustment). For target use this rearsight is a dissaster, but for combat use it will survice a strike from a nuke-missle. The nice walnut stock, the bipods, the 22 mm flashhider that can holds the NATO rifle grenade. The slingswiffel on the left side of the stock, so you can use the sling like a tacticalsling. (outdated theese day's, but outstanding in 1959!). But I like it the most, because I grew up with this FAL. Since I saw soldiers exercise and firing blanks in our forrest when I played there with friends, and they let use fire a few shots, all I could think of was that I MUST own this FAL when I was 'old' !

Nice rifles guy's!

Greets,

Roger

(BTW, that pic from the Dutch FAL was taken a few weeks ago on my Armybase, where I was invited to fire some old rifles. This was in the armory, you can see the stocks from a few Garnds on the wright bottum of the pic )

Just got through modifying an original Belgian banana peel hider to fit the LH threads on my gun. I modified the hider so I didnt have to permanently alter my pre-89 gun, plus if it fails I can just put the original CD back on it. The banana peel weighs maybe half of what the CD does so its not as barrel heavy. Also got a 30 shot mag from DSA that is pretty nice. Oh, and I darkened the wood a little.

now that shorty's wearing an L1 lower & HG (CD slipped on bare muzzle as i'm thinking of threading it {built it during the ban })
i think i like it...

Guys!!

Nice pictures people, but would you please read the forum rules on picture sizes? Posting pictures

We only have a few posts and the download time for dial up members is going to be insane once we have a few pages going.

But keep the picture coming!!

This is an old picture but I have not taken any pictures in a while. These were all built in one night last spring. Rifles have all been reparked or GunKoted since the picture was taken.

p99guy, that is one great looking rifle.

Looks like an IMBEL 50.00 copy.

Would you mind divulging its secrets.

Thanks for the Kind words Its an Embel receiver, assembled with a Embel parts kit...with the usual US made compliance parts.....Since it was made during the ban it has a US fake Belgian suppressor that was soldered on, but still looked good. a good reliable shooter
Here it is wearing a SUIT scope
