Brand spankin' NIB DSA G1 that I picked up back in April:

My first FAL... possibly my last, though I wouldn't mind also getting an STG-58. I like this G1 quite a bit -- it's sure as blazes never leaving my collection while I can do anything about it! -- but I think I'm more of a cruffler than anything else.

Cheers,

~ Greg ~

Mine STG-58.
Planning to change Minimi grip and heavy .260 REM barrel for long range sniper shooting. Scope is broken, too

338LM, what kind of accuracy are you getting with the free-floated handguard?

Groups with original setting and bipod rest were typically app. 3" size or worse @100m. (5 shot groups)
Also POI changed too much if i shooted with bipod or propped up handguard with backbag etc. Difference was +6" @100m.

Now with entreprise arms free floater group size is always 1,5" - 2". POI is always same, no matter if i use bipod or not.
Only exception is VERY hot gun, then groups are bit bigger, but still smaller than with original setting.
Usually first 3 shots (cold barrel) are in very tight group, less than ½MOA

I use south african PMP militaty surplus 7.62 "NATO" ammo, 1980 and 1981 lot. True bullet weight is 143 grains.
It is by far most accurate 308 military ammo that i have tried.
Actually i cant get any better groups with handloads.
i´ve tried 10gram and 10,85gram scenars.

Difference is so small that there is no point to pay triple (or more) price.

I also have BR-tuote T8 full size sound suppressor for STG, but group sizes doesent get any better with it. POI shifts app 4" downwards,i guess that barrel is too thin for it.

suppressor:

P.S.
even kids use supressors in Finland...

Wow. Some really nice FALs here. Dig the L1A1 flash hider Powerkicker, that would be my favorite for the FAL. Villefuego, would that be an old G1? Looks really nice.

don't think it's G1 unless the FH/ accessory lug's been ground off.

Close......It's an StG 58......I just put a Belgian combo-device where the Stoll brake used to be, and R1 handguards up front........a little bit lighter than the metal HG's and bipod combo!

Here is my latest project. It will soon be fitted with some nice DS stuff and although it is an L1A1 I am also looking to fitting the DSA para stock assembly.

I just bought this one.
