Weaver qwik point

Does ayone have any expierence with the old non-battery operated Weaver Qwik point?I am considering buying a Kel-Tec,SU-16B and thought this might be a good sighting system for such a rifle.

- i've got a single-point which is roughly the same thing- largely useless for anything over 100 yards as the dot covers the whole target- right now it's sitting on an uzi, but i'd still prefer a full set of peep irons - and double ck the brightness of the dot - these things used radiation or something to make that dot glow and may be pretty dim by now- it's really good on a shotgun, however

Weaver QWIK-Point

I just put my mint condition QWIK-Point on my new Kel-Tec KSG, looks great, fast target acquisition. I have had that sight sitting in my safe for years, now it has a new perch.

I bought one cheap back in the '70s or '80s. Had it on a 10/22 for a while. It was okay, but I thought it looked goofy and was much bigger than comparable things available today. I think I still have the thing in a box or drawer someplace.

Why the Kel-tec? They are difficult to field strip and not cheaper than an AR base.

Who has looked, but will stick with his old mini-14.
