Charlie, do you have any recommendations on .22 ammo for use with cans? I've been told that subsonics are strictly for use with bolt guns; that they lack the power to cycle semis... |

"I've been told that subsonics are strictly for use with bolt guns; that they lack the power to cycle semis... " absolutely not true ![]() Rush right out and ask those who told you if they have ever tried it... Weren't you there when we shot my quiet M&P rifle and AR. I routinely use CCI Standard velocity in both the Tactical Solutions conversion unit and the S&W M&P. High velocity ammo in those ain't all that quiet... I'm sure there are some guns that won't work with standard velocity but more will than won't. Don't buy a ton of standard... a box will do... but when you get your can shoot both and see if you can tell the difference. |

At least I can determine what functions in the rifle and what doesn't. | |

I predict a July arrival Depending on the can it may be fine with high speed but for standard velocity just get CCI... |

A friend of mine who owns a silenced MkII Ruger says that ,while a little pricey, Eley Tenex works great and is so quiet you can hear the action work louder than the shot.

I agree that is is quiet... but is often marginal for funciton. My Model 41 loves it but the best news for Walt would that it doesn't work inhis... $15-20/ box is almost too much fun... ![]() |

It's liking the Federal bulk so far. I'm going to play with it some more this weekend after I mount my Aimpoint.
