Probably my Ithaca model 49; it was my first rifle and has a bit of a backstory. It will go to my grandson at the appropriate time. |

I am like several folks here and have a bunch of 22 rimfires. The most accurate is an old Browning T-Bolt that had one of their salt water Walnut stocks. I had a Lilja barrel installed in that and it will shoot low 2's (2/10) at 50 yards with Wolf Match Extra. Someone else mentioned the Winchester Model 69A, and the one I have likes the SK Standard Plus ammo, low 4's and I have one of the Russian Biathlon Basic rifles that shoot Wolf Match Extra in the high 2's and low 3's. There are others, a Remington 511, Marlin 39A, Mossberg 144, etc, all nice as well, but not as accurate as the others with any ammo I have tried to date. |

Mine is a series, the Winchester Pump Action .22's. 1890, 1906, 62A, 61; I have one of each...Even have a very nice Rossi 62A. The 1890 in .22 Short was my first rifle, and it was well worn out when I got it; she's mostly retired now. I only take her out about once every other year just to remmeber my youth. These days most of my .22 Shooting is with my nearly new Model 61. |

It would have to be my latest Marlin 39A, sporting a 4x cheater from Simmons. This is the most accurate .22 I've ever owned and I've had several Military Surplus(USGI).22 Target rifles and several other 39As. It's the rifle that finally made me retire my Winchester Model 75 Sporter to the gunsafe. ![]() |

I've had a few 22 rifles, but only three have stuck - (1) a nasty Charter Arms AR-7, which is likely no one's favorite including mine, (2) my first 22 that was my father's first 22 and has no serial number, and (3) my favorite, a Savage-Anschutz 164. ![]() ![]() |
