AR15 Brush Gun

So...I needed a brush gun to hunt in the enclosed terrain where I live. I own several ARs and I came across an AR upper chambered in 7.62x39 for a really good price, so I started looking for some brass ammo in that caliber that might suit my needs. I came across what appears to be a new round by Privi Partisan. It is a 123 gr. boat tail softpoint with a muzzle velocity of over 2500 fps, a muzzle energy of 1700 ft. lbs., and a ballistics coefficient of .385. I have found no other ammo in that caliber that even approaches those figures. I ran it through several different ballistics calculators and was surprised to find that it shoots relatively flat out to about 225 yds. and carries over 1300 ft. lbs. at 300 yds. It seems to bridge the gap between the .30-30 and the .308 to some extent. Does anyone have any experience with this round?

csmkersh,

Fwiw, I was once YV1OAS, Mobile 23. = The local equivalent of our FCC assigned us ONE ham-call for the Organization of American States personnel in VZ, in 1990. - Then our "admin chief" (an Army CW3) assigned everyone a "unit number".

N2BSA installed a 222.100+ MHZ repeater on the top of a tower on the mountaintop near our office. - I believe that we were the ONLY units on 220 FM back then.

yours, sw

Does anyone have anything to say about the OP's GUN/AMMO question?

I know it works, and works well. I was asking about the new(?) PPU ammo. I am familiar with the PPU SP BT with the muzzle velocity of 2350 fps and a BC of .257. This stuff I have ordered has an MV of over 2500 fps and a BC of .385. It carries over 1300 ft. lbs. all the way out to 300 yds. All the other factory stuff I find loses ethical deer-killing capability (1000 ft. lbs.) well inside 200 yds. I read on a forum or in a review somewhere (and haven't been able to find it again) that some guy claimed consistent 1-MOA groups with it out of an AR. I just wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience. I don't reload, but misser, I am interested in what kind of performance you get out of the Hornady reloads. Velocity? Carried energy over distance? Groups, and at what distance?
