I bought a nice M42 Germqan WWII helmet at our local flea market today. It appears to be all original including the liner and chin strap. But some body put a phony SS decal on it, the seller agreed it was not real. My question is does anybody know how to remove the decal without messing up the paint?

Re: German Helmet
Depending on the type of decal "Solvaset" from a hobby shop might be able to soften it and allow easy removal.
Who notes he made some plastic models long long agone.
