I bought a used Armscorp that came with the original purchase receipt, but I can't tell by the receipt if it was sold new or used though.
coulter6, thanks. Based on what little I do know about the Armscorp receivers, that receipt sounds like the original purchase date. Okay, we'll go with that and modify later on if need be. I suspect Armscorp pretty much made receivers to order. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
Bought my Arnscorp bare receiver from GPC on 4/27/04.
M14 NM Ser # 1701X. No telling how long it was in stock.
Don't some Armscorp say "NM" instead? The lugged ones, maybe?
Yes, some Armscorp receivers are marked M14 NM and others are marked M21.
Armscorp # 10451 Manufactured on 04/25/93
I have no idea when mine was made I picked it up used #11692 aslo marked NM.
16633 purchased on 7/28/02 and returned to Armscorp
1664x purchased on 7/29/02
I have number 1580X
and number 1670X
I was told 15,80X was "preban" but it does not look like it based on what I have seen here. 16,70X was a reciever that was sitting around since who knows when at the shop but I bought it in Oct of 2004.
Any truth to the rumors Armscorp produced some special and out of sequence serial numbers?
Springfield Armory, Inc., Maunz Mfg., and Smith Enterprise, Inc. issued custom serial numbers back in the 1980s. It's possible that Armscorp USA also issued custom serial numbers but I don't have any first hand witness knowledge or photograhic evidence of that, yet.
Armscor NM #151xx, purchased 5/93 from Sarco.
1050X and not sure of the date but kinda thinkin I beat Tommo out on the auction for it. Sorry if its you guy. Its clean, and appears to have never had a tube screwed into it. Hopefully Armscorp can give me an actual date.
OK we are missing something here!
How can 15k rifles be 93-94 and 16k rifles be almost 10 years older?
Just received SN 151XX. I have no idea when it was made/purchased.
I did note that the lettering was shallow. Is this common?
My 15K is SUPER shallow in terms of lettering, my 16K is much deeper.
Thanks for the info. :D My lettering is quite shallow also. I have to get the light just right for my old eyes. Still love her though!
Received 17k from sarco, rear site holes drilled incorrectly, Sarco says all the ones they have are like that..it is going back...
Anyone else have them in stock?
Purchased 1708X directly from Armscorp 11/03. And made a mighty fine rifle. Medium grey parkerized color.
BTW, It only likes TRW & Winchester op rods. Won't have anything to do with any other kind. 8)
Edited to correct purchase date of 11/03.
