SOCOM -16 problems

First , how do you get the operating rod out ? I have stripped M14s before , but this one wont budge . Second , the rifle works fine with factory rounds but will not chamber reloads from same . Have been using Reading 308 dies .

You can use a screwdriver to pry the oprod hump away from the receiver while the tab is aligned with the dismount notch.

Use a FL resizing die. Make sure you use a case gage to set it (the die manufacturer's instructions are a half-step better than guessing). If the rounds still won't chamber, then you'll need to go to a small base FL resizing die (not too uncommon).
