| Re: Polytech M14 Serial Number Database - North America
I just got my first Poly in as new condition and hope to try it out soon. The barrel has a single import mark of KFS ATL GA. The receiver is marked on the top rear heel as follows: M-14S POLY TECH CHINA 7.62 NATO 0023 The rifle is with a standard slotted flash hider with bayonet lug .The stock appears to be a type of walnut with no selector cutout.Standard GI type blued buttplate and blued folding buttplate assy. The serial number 0023 is also on the left rear of the receiver visible at the stock /receiver mating area. The serial number is also on the trigger group assy(etched or vibro tooled).Barrel and receiver groups are nicely parkerized and well finished.Everything is tight as new(as it should be). Hope this info helps in adding to your list. I will take it out tomorrow and run a few rounds though it. |

Thanks, Gerry. It looks more and more like KFS imported the first 2000 or so Chinese M14 rifles into the United States.

I bought a Polytech M14S a few years back for 400$. I've only shot it a couple times, but it shoots well. The SN is 2483* Side stamped M-14s .308 IDE USA SFLD MICH. POLYTECH CHINA Also, on the reciever, it has a number: 38 25 39 14 Is there any way to tell the age of the gun? I'm guessing it's a 1994. |

I'm wondering if someone installed a CAI marked barrel on to a KFS marked receiver
