| I got a new SOCOM 16, couple of questions........
I just recieved my SOCOM 16. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet but.......WOW! I like this rifle. This is my first M1A/M14. What is with Springfields warning, "dont field strip too much". The manuel states this can cause excessive wear. I dont see how this is possible. The design is so simple. Looking at the action, I would guess that M1A's dont require very much lubrication? Once the bolt unlocks, everything fits on the loose side. I cant wait to shoot her. Should make one heluva camp rifle this summer! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Warning
I think this warning mainly applies to the NM rifles due to the way they are bedded in their stocks. You cause unnessary wear by constantly removing them. The owners manual is generic for all rifles. You will love shooting this handy little rifle that carries a big punch.
