| M1D deal
I found a M1D with M84 scope, SA receiver and barrell. Korean surplus in real good condition. They want 1700 since it is korean surplus with import marks. is that a good deal?

Sounds better than what I ve been seeing at shows. make sure that the barrel isnt marked on the side whn the op rod is pulled back. Probability that its a fake or put together. M1D barrels were marked on top and had a series of 5's in the barrel markings or so I've read.

I'd think that was a pretty fair price. | |

This one had SA on the side and some other markings that were hard to read, so I guess this means it is a fake then? What would a fake m1D be worth, the price of a regular M1 plus 100 or so for the scope?

Cost of an M1 + 400+ for the scope. Offer them a grand (pun intended) they will go for it. If not build your own. The real question, is are the other parts real or fake. You use to be able to buy the fake scope mount and blocks for less than $100.

Here is a supposed M1D, he has a box, and says it is from the CMP, but has no paper work. How convienient. I guess you could e-mail him and ask him about the markings and to provide pics, but it is $2400! Too rich for my blood. Buy the gun, not the story ![]() Also, if it is a true CMP rifle, they would have a record of it's sale, and you could get that record for $15 from the CMP, no record found means it most likely is not what he says it is. Not trying to bash this seller, but it is your money, and you must be careful, as for every good seller, there are 5 that are not good, and will take your money and not feel guilty. http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewIt ... m=24058309 |

| ![]() Here's the side on mine. There are heat codes and inspection codes on the side but no "6535448" which is the drawing number for the standard M1 barrel. Ty |
