Great video...I taught my grandson, who is 14, how to shoot ALL my battle rifles, clean and break them down. My youngest one, 12, could care less....he'd rather play video games with rifles than shoot them. I cracked up at the comments from the "don't spank the child" moms on You-Tube. They see this as abuse... ![]() |

If you can hit a tennis ball 6 out of 8 shots at 100 yds you better get in a few matches, you will probably take 1st place

Somebody told me y'all were dissin' me... The first golf ball was @70 yd and the prairie dog was a documented 117. I do confess that I was happy to hit the golf ball anywhere with the 45 but the Volquartsen 10-22 can easily hook or slice on demand... I'll have to work on the English though |

We never really know whats in those Golf bags. 'Specially in NW Ala. It'd be possible there might be some return fire. Dunno, just a passing thought. salty |

Geoff, I do know the rifle I was issued over there was an actual Armalite AR15! First time I had to use it it jammed after four rounds. It 'Fell' out of a supply chopper on a run back to Tan Son Nhut for parts and I managed to scrounge up a Model 12 Trenchgun but, it didn't have any range so I found a Marine with a TRW M14 and ten mags( Cost me three bottles of Jack Daniels, he was DEROs ing anyway), used that for the rest of my tour. I turned it in as a Battlefield pickup to replace my 'Destroyed AR' when I DEROs'ed. I much preferred the heavier M14, all sales were final when it went off. |

Retmsgt, AGREED 100%. I "acquired" a NEW Ithaca Model 37 & a "mint" 1917 S&W revolver to carry OCONUS. (I did not then/now care for the Mattel Special. Give me a Garand or M14, then/now, please.) ===> Couldn't figure out how to bring either/both back "to the land of round doorknobs". = [email protected]#$%^&! (I guess that I'm not very smart, as I later met GIs who had managed to get all sorts of NICE weapons back at "rotation". - One brought back a WWII era BAR & another guy that I met at USAIS "got in" FOUR AKs, broken down in a PX refrigerator!) yours, sw |
