Only in Kalifornia

Watch out every one ! ! ! ! ! The PRK (People's Republic of Kalifornia) has introduced a new series of gun laws that take affect on July 1st that will effectively put a stop to any/all firearms importations into the state. I'm still trying to figure it out (I'm not a law scholar ) but in a nut shell what it says is that to send a gun into the PRK, even an FFL-to-FFL transfer, BOTH dealers have to be registered in the state to complete the transaction. Now, who in their right-mind is going to want to be registered in the PRK? You guessed it ! ! ! Looks like no more outside sales to the PRK. Here go the artificial price inflations. It's going to boil down to "What's here is here and if it's not, too [email protected]#%*#G BAD ! ! !
Don't let this happen to [the rest of] the United States ! ! ! ! My wife's got 20+ years in with the county. As soon as she gets that golden hand shake we're leaving the PRK and moving to the United States (I can hardly wait).
Be extremely vigilant my friends. Don't let this happen to you. Just remember, what happens in Kalifornia soon happens in the United States.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ! ! ! ! !
Bon chance, Mes Amis ! ! ! ! (Good luck, my friends)

Re: Only in Kalifornia

jon,

You and all the rest of the brethren trapped in Commie-Land....
Think... SW Missouri....

Pretty much a gun friendly state (And fortunately, getting more-so... Several recent improvements to gun laws here.).... but we'll take all the Conservative voter imports we can get to help build up a buffer against the lefty radicals in StL, KC, and Columbia. It pretty much looks like California is a lost cause for traditional conservatives anyway..... why not help the rest of us out politically by moving here???

Best,
Swampy

Re: Only in Kalifornia

First off this doesn't affect ANY C&R sales.. also it only takes about 5 min for a FFL (either in state or out of state) to apply....Granted it's all BS since the DOJ just wants to verify that CA FFL dealers are legal.. BUT THAT is the job and falls under the control of the ATF!!! nd yes I'm also suprised no one has challenged this in court as a needless law......

Re: Only in Kalifornia

Most of my highly oppressed friends do not know about this new law. I am not so certain California can impose its laws on the other 49 states. I thought that was the realm of the Federal Gov't. Oh, well, ANOTHER court challenge! By the way I have heard we may well be looking at a DROS fee for ammunition sales in Calif. It just won't stop.

Re: Only in Kalifornia

I'd like to see some clarification on this latest regulation, my copy got tossed.

My quick read told me that each gun sold to a Cali resident from my AK store needed an individual application then subsequent approval from an online download, file 13

What did I miss?

Re: Only in Kalifornia

My local dealer got a letter from Ca about this. It only covers people with a FFL. It is now easier for a individual to send a firearm to a CA FFL then it is for a FFL holder to do it. GO figure!!

Re: Only in Kalifornia

This smacks of 1780's politics. Many of the new states had their own Diplomatic Corps. Some states printed thier own currency. The Federal Gov't was given certain powers for good reason. The states agreed to respect each other rights and laws. None of the states have the power to govern a different state. This HAS to go to a high court for a decision. Mind you, this was done on Arnold's watch. I can hardly wait for the Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, to launch his Governor's campaign.

It's sounds more like a State Attorney General, i.e. the infamous Jerry Brown's fist in the pie kinda' deal.
