Are M1 Garands/M1 Carbines on the hit list

Gentlemen,
..if she gets into the White House in '08? We all joke about CMP getting them out the door before '08. I wonder...The Dem's are already working on a permanent assault weapons ban. Some parts of the new bill state that any firearm that takes a MAGAZINE or CLIP device would be Banned. They state that there might be a grandfather part of the bill. Here in PA their bill states that if you own one of these types of firearms, they must be put on a list and you will pay a fee for each one you own every year. Don't think it wouldn't come to this. Look what happened in England and Australia. Also, they just took them from the people in New Orleans. They just might have the power to do it. All your firearms taken without any compensation. What about many of you guys who, like me, collect them? What do you think might happen?

Thanks again,
Clancy

Lemme get this straight:

1. I the taxpayer bought these guns for the government in the first place.

2. I the taxpayer bought these guns again FROM the government when it decided it didn't want them anymore.

3. Now the government wants me to pay an annual fee for the "privilege" of continuing to own property that I have already paid for TWICE?

"Line in the sand" time is fast approaching, folks.

YOU PEOPLE ACTUALLY OWN GUNS? I thought this was all just a mental exercize about what guns you would own if you could!

Why, no, Mr BATFE agent. I don't own any firearms. They are just too dangerous for ordinary people to own. Better that highly trained and competent federal agents like you should only have them....

Excuse me for a minute. :barf:

There, I feel better now.

I believe their will be alot of honest criminals If such a bill
is put into law. Also maybe required is getting licensed to buy
gunpowder and loading equipment. Already we pay $20 for shipping "hazardous material" like powder and primers.

Where does that money go?

Yes, we will be outlaws.

And when they come to the door, and BOT sez, "Why, no, officer, no guns here! Sold 'em all. Chucked 'em overboard. Had a break-in just last night, they're all stole. Yassah, never could abide a gun anyway. Uh, huh."

And the officer says: "Thass nice, Mr. Tyrants. Just step aside, we got this here now search warrant which is based on a reasonable suspicion which gives us probable cause for the warrant. And if you and the wife would just kneel over there while we handcuff you with these nice plastic ties, and the boys and I'll just rummage around here in your castle for a few hours--well, what you thought was your castle... "

And then?

but keep in mind the battle is not over yet. lets just hope our "friends" at the NRA dont compromise our god given rights away this time like they did in 1994.
we should be up in arms about this bill period we should be calling writing and bothering the he## out of our "government thugs"
and let them know that the rattlesnake is rattling its up to them to step away or the snake will bite.

I offer this from Charles Mingus

One day they came and they took the Communists
And I said nothing because I was not a Communist
Then one day they came and they took the people of the Jewish faith
And I said nothing because I had no faith left
One day they came and they took the unionists
And I said nothing because I was not a unionist
One day they burned the Catholic churches
And I said nothing because I was born a Protestant
Then one day they came and they took me
And I could say nothing because I was as guilty as they were
For not speaking out and saying that all men have a right to freedom
On any land
I was as guilty of genocide
As you
All of you
For you know when a man is free
And when to set him free from his slavery
So I charge you all with genocide
The same as I
One of the 18 million dead Jews
18 million dead people

It can happen in America when our people are disarmed.

I've read that Hilter remarked that the reason he didn't consider invading the US is because there are so many armed civilians.

Hitler said that about Switzerland. I believe that the PM (or whatever they call their head honcho) of Switzerland was asked what would he do if Hitler came over the mountains with 1.5 milliom men answered, "Give everyone three cartridges".

And that, my friends, is the answer to my question, "What then?"

Thank you!

Well, as someone said, the beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take away your guns.

It is the DUTY of every American to resist, forcefully if necessary, any law or measure that would disarm the law abiding citizens.

Also, if you have to cache your weapons, then it is LONG past the time that you should have used them.

Like Mr Heston said, they can pry them from my cold stiff fingers

And you can bet I'll have to be dead first.

Do you know if that was to become a law, I would have to report that some one robbed me of all my guns just yesturday.

I see it all clear now ,but I didnt know I was a phychic.

It was Yamamoto who said invading mainland USA would be impossible because "there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass".

BTW, for future reference, whenever anyone asks "Is such-and-such gun on the hit list?", the answer is YES. Oh it might not be on any written list YET, but make no mistake: The hoplophobe-fascists and the antigun Talibanners want them ALL. Military. Civilian. Sporing. Rimfires. Airguns. Antiques. Replicas. DEWATS. Toys. They want them ALL.

Also: never keep all of anything the government might take from you in the same place, and never where they'd be able to get a search warrant for same. Freeway overpasses don't have addresses.
