At Knob Creek I picked up what I was told was a Nigerian Garand Stock.
Straight line, I thought it was an M14E2 stock when I first looked at it.
Any how I just put it on my M1. Went on with no problems. However, just in front of the trigger housing there is a cut out, looks likr a very small mag well, that lets you look into the guts where the follower rod connects to the follower arm.
Is there any problem with this or should I get a plug to fill the gap.? I really like the straight line stock and would like to get one for the M1A.

As long as you are not planning on crawling through the mud you will have no problems with that cutout. You may also fing that your clip latch pin will walk out if there is a gap between it and the stock. I had to make a longer one for my Nigerian stock.
