USSSFT-Ret,

Your bolt is probably correct for the rifle...

The Op-rod is a post war replacement.
The elevation knob is Korean era.

Something missing from the barrel markings. Should be a month and date. 1-3 is short a digit somewhere....

Look for markings on the windage knob, trigger housing, hammer (face), safety and gas lock screw.

Best regards,

And to answer the next obvious question,as it left the factory it would have had:

SA 11 or 12 of 1944 barrel

-19 bolt

-9 curved side op-rod

-14 trigger housing

-7 or -8 hammer

SA-11 safety

-12 follower assembly

type III lockbar sights

SA/GAW or SA/NFR cartouched stock, it's in an overlap range.

But,as it sets it's also a great example of a USGI Garand that has been rebuilt many times from hard service, also an "original" unto itself. Enjoy and welcome. TJR
