Danish Ammo

Took my SA to the range yesterday for the first time, I took along a bandolier of the Danish 30-06 I had. They would not let me shoot it stating that is was steel or steel core. I thought that was alot of BS, but I didn't argue with them. I thought this stuff was just basic ball? Am I wrong or are they? Of course I was directed to the shop were PMC ammo was available for sale. I did purchase one box because I wanted to shoot my rifle!

This was at Angeles Shooting ranges in Little Tijunaga Canyon in Los Angeles. Anybody had any similar experience with Danish ammo?

much military ammo has a copper-clad (or plated) steel jacketed projo, because it is cheap, not for AP. BUT it can spark, causing fires, so some ranges forbid it.

Inland Fish and Game does not care.

Come over to the Desert Marksman gun club. It's on Angeles crest Highway near Mt Emma rd. (The old Kentucky canyon shooting range) It cost's 60.00 a year to be a member, you can shoot in a safe, clean enviornment and there are no restrictions on capacity or jacket material. (of course no tracers as it is located in the forest)

I joined 10 yrs ago and have never regetted it

If You are into JCG matches, practical pistol, tactical rifle, cowboy action shooting, small bore, high power rifle, 50 cal , Black Powder- we got it all
