Umm...what are they thinking? Over 50 bones for only 20 clips?
I guess they're desperate for clips. I have more clips than I will ever need. Maybe I should get in on this action

I would think that just doing a simple search on that same site would provide the bidder with enough information to know that he/she could get them for far less money.

I reckon ol P T Barnum was onto something.

I suspect

the guy is an en-bloc collector. And after communicating with the seller found out there was some Winchester clips in the batch, or some other hard to find clips. GAWAG

Unfortunately, as in collecting anything, the prices reflect the rarity. Collecting M1 Garand En Blocs isn't new, but the research on them is just now beginning to go mainstream. Having a bandolier of "correct" En Blocs, with correct ammo, is becoming more popular. It's the old "diorama", or shrine, depending on how "dedicated" the collector is.
