Finding A G.A.W.
I took in a gun the other day with serial #2,942,XXX (D-DAY) it came with a real nice DOD marked H & R stock. I want to put it right and need to find a correct stock. Do any of you folks have any good leads out there??

There's two on ebay right now--one is a really bad fake from a known humper.

Dunno about the second, but "private listing" sets off alarm bells in my mind.

From the photographs, I'm not even 100% sure the stock is walnut! The cartouche is just plain bad.
