Dutchman, is that a working selector switch on that M14? You European guys are Lucky!!!

We would wish that for sure!!!
Here in Holland the rules on weapons are more "uptight" than at your side of the pond.
Only 5 weapons in total are full auto's just semi's , and has to be "as is" when left the factory... selectorswitch wise.
Only older weapons with deactivated selectorswitch(before the law changed)no auotmode possible and autoparts out....are now days allowed. Somebody who owned one can't sell it to a private person, but only to ffl and ffl can only sell it when it is old stock....before that date.

bb guns are not allowed, the rest of europe no problem.... dutch gov is tight @#s sll the way.
Dutch nra KNSA has only 40.000 members and the boardmembers are all on the gov's lap and brownnossing the gov redtape folks all the way

btw my M1 is all correct jan 44 Inland and was hanging for more than 50 years in display case in one our army camps, all grey/greenish park, exept barrel. Had no wear on action before i shot it , for the first time TE was <1 MW <1 also, nearly unfired i guessed.
Shoots like a dream
Bought it 3 years ago for $356.00

My one and only M1 carbine

It is a 3.26 Saginaw. It is a total mix of parts. It is an NRA gun that was purchased by my friend's father in the early 60's. Sadly, he could not find the paperwork to go with the rifle.

Re: Re:

Marine, I don't know why you just filter out those lines.

The line "Dutchmen working selector switch" etc was a quote from a reply by regmtsgt.
And I answer with a explanation about the Dutch situation regarding full autoparts and weapons.

The frace about 356 USD is that's the price of my in mint condition prestine M1 I bought a few years ago....

Hope this clears something

Groetjes Rob

Re: Photo's of your "Battlerifles" [M1 Carbine]

Here is a pic of my IBM/Inland mix. It's been years since I've shot it, but pulling it out of the safe gives me the itch to do so this weekend. I just picked up it's big brother (NM Springfield M1A) that will be going through it's paces, think kid brother needs to go along & give out some pointers.

Re: Photo's of your "Battlerifles" [M1 Carbine]

Last week, my Wife's older Brother gave her a very nice condition Quality Hardware .30 M1 Carbine. He thought he had 7 carbines, but discovered this on in the back of one of his gun safes.

I took it apart today, and find that the parts mix is the QH receiver, Rock Ola barrel, Saginaw bolt, Winchester Trigger group, sight, safety and mag release. The barrel is like brand new.

I'll get it to the range in a couple of days. This will be the Wife's HD rifle after she is familiar with it. I'll be using Remington factory 110 SP for that purpose.

Re: Photo's of your "Battlerifles" [M1 Carbine]

Here's a couple of mugshots of my new Underwood. Except for a plumb-colored Inland triggergroup and the late mods, it's correct. Oh, it's a 2.8 mill.
