Need some info on an Underwood carbine

Hello men, I am new to the forums here, but would like to find out some info on an old Underwood carbine. I'm thinking of putting in back in it's from the factory configuration, or as close as possible. Here are the ins and outs of its current configuration,

Serial number- 27456xx
Receiver- Underwood (of course)
Barrel- Underwood, dated 3/44
Front sight- Underwood (fabricated)
Barrel band- type 3 Inland
Slide- Inland
Recoil plate- unmarked
Trigger housing- Saginaw
Hammer- Inland
Sear- Inland
Trigger- Inland
Bolt- all Inland
Mag catch- unmarked
Safety- post war
Upper hand guard- RMC
Stock- Inland
Rear sight- stamped adjustable

That may be it, if I can remember. Can someone help me piece this dude back together, as close as possible? Thank you so much,

I recommend William J Ricca for parts, there are a ton of people selling parts but a lot of them sell repros and say they are the real thing. Bill Ricca won't do that.

Very good advice. Bill is an excellent source. But I'm going to warn you. It will be very expensive getting the parts. You will need to know exactly which parts you need and that is determined by the time period during which the carbine was built. For instance, there were 3 different slides used at various times during production. Three different safeties. Three different mag catches. Etc... You have a lot of research to do before starting the project. Serial number will be your guide. But another caution on Underwoods; if it is a subcontract receiver, or a standard close to the serial number range of the subcontract receivers, it is going to be very difficult to determine the correct parts vintages.
And another warning. When you are done, you will have more $ in the carbine than you can ever get out of it if you sell it. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, because I've done the same thing myself. I'm just trying to educate you on the challenges. If you decide to go ahead with it, you will find it very educational, challenging and in the end, very satisfying.
