M1 Carbine forum

If anyone is interested I am starting a new and upcoming forum dedicated solely to the discussion of the M1 carbine. While American backyard is a great place to discuss all types of various weapons, I feel the little "war baby" deserves its very own discussion forum on the web. Please feel free to register and post!

Please note that it is still in beta stage, and bugs are being worked out as we speak. Ive got a graphic designer working on logos, etc. and at the same time I am looking for a permanent and reliable host. Feel free to post and suggestions of feedback you may have concerning the forum. Hope to see you there!

Can you explain the reason why you MUST register just to browse the site?

I see that as a deterrent for those who like to "try before you buy".

I put in my request for membership a few days ago and have not had a response to determine if I am acceptable. I really am a pretty nice guy. Really. Got references, if necessary.

Have I missed something?

Drill Sgt., I never got an email confirmation either. I simply logged on and it worked. Nice site, not very busy at this point.

Ive been approving everyone that registers, no email verification necessary as of right now. You should be able to post within 2-4 hours after registration, possibly sooner if I am at my PC.

I will state once more that the forum is still in beta stage, and until the "grand opening" some bugs are to be expected. Registration is required to keep the spammers off of the board. Its free and your SS# is not required - I certainly do not see the cause of the uproar.

If you want to sign up, discuss, and use the boards free of charge, by all means please do. Otherwise, please do not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Best regards,
Greg

Seems to be a well designed forum. Hope it doesn't go the way of the old Gun & Knife Forum.

Drill Sargent, Mr. Jitters, the site is run by E-Harmony. As you all know, they have a 46% rejection-rate. Maybe if you tell them you like nice walks in the park.
