Just curious, what happened to the rear sight? Are there any stake marks on the dovetail? Enquiring minds want to know

Yep, you might as well start looking on Ebay for a type 2 milled adjustible sight. The type 2 is large enough to cover the stake marks when installed. Heck, I just sold one about a month ago.

With five days to go on GB. It is a nice looking carbine.
LP maybe a police department or personal stamp. Inland did not have any receiver subcontractors.

I believe that is Landes Polizei....Bavarian Import marked. (not sure I got the spelling quite right.)

Notice the re-Park over pits and the amateurish fit to the new stock. This carbine should sell for $100. Of course, I guess I'm living in the past again.

That fit on the recoil plate is typical for a birch replacement stock. That is one thing to look for when buying on line is that fit and whether the wood is over the recoil plate.

I think Bolo is right about the initials possibly being a personal or department-type stamp. That said, as a bit of a clarification, Inland did have one receiver subcontractor of sorts-----it's "sister" GM division, Saginaw Steering Gear.

Yes, SG and SI marked receivers for Saginaw. What was I not thinking? Ones marked on the slope or receiver where you can see it, I guess.

Hello thanks for answering my question. Also the Carbine in the pic is not mine it has the L P markings like my rifle does. I'll have to research them marks alittle more.

Thanks again
