Inland Carbine

Hello i just bought a Inland it has a bayonet lug,non-flip up rear site I.R.CO. flip safty, flat bolt, Inland barrel dated 2-45 seril #5076011 the mag catch has two zoros or a M. I don't think it has the Org. stock looks like an aftermarket. Haven't broken it down yet. What year was she made?

I was at the estate sale a week or so ago and i have a sheet with all the guns & serial # on it and on the sheet is a Inland with the serial 5076011 which is the same as the one i just bought today what's up??

thanks again

I show a date of July/August 1944 as the probable delivery date, so that barrel date is quite late for this rifle, and had a 6.23 million original with a 10-44 barrel date on it.

So is my barrel a replacment? I give $640 for it but that's cheap in my part of town carbines are so hard to find here.

Hi M2,
Got Inlands with 5.28 and 5.30 serial numbers, Both have 6-44 barrel dates. Looks like you got one of Jim's carbines "after auction"
? retail or private sale. Try Clydes Armory in Athens. They had several (6) when I was there a while back. They seem to be the only one that gets an occassional carbine or two from police trade-ins. Not pristine all were rebuilds , but all had good headspace and minimal muzzle wear. Several had very good restoration potential or probably good to go for shooters as is.
