I picked up an interesting piece from the gunshow last weekend. It is in decent shape and has "Clyde" engraved in cursive in the backstrap of the frame. Know where I can find out more info on this piece? I think there is probably a slim chance in Hell that this is a Bonnie and Clyde gun, but it never hurts to do a little investigatin' Know where to find when it was made? Anyone out there have any good Bonnie and Clyde info? Thanks

Their guns were confiscated after they were shot to to pieces by the police. Their families tried to claim their guns, but the police would have none of it. I believe they had several thousand rds of ammo, a number of pistols, and various small arms including a few BARs. They were definitely well armed.

It could have been another fellow named Clyde. Or, someone could have named their gun Clyde. (As in "Right turn, Clyde...")

Then again, it could have been one of the famous bank robber's guns, which he gave away or sold before he was killed, or one which a souveneir hunter snagged after he died. Proving either one of those cases would be tough, but you never know, right? :D

That is kindof what I figured. The signature on the frame is very similar to ones of Clyde's I have seen. Probably will never know the truth. They spent more time in the midwest than I thought, having killed a guy in IA and were in the KC MO area for a while, so this piece could have been just given to someone in this area. I grew up in OK and my dad was 10 when they were running around our area, so it kind of fits right in my collection. Thanks for the info guys.
