Is the rear sight also crooked?

If only the front sight is off, that probably means the gunsmith mounted the rear sight mount sleeve improperly so at least it would be straight, and this was probably done because the barrel was not installed correctly.

If both sights are crooked, the barrel was not properly installed.
Find a different gunsmith with higher standards of workmanship, and have him correct the botched work.

To correct only the front sight is a problem because under the sight is a slot machined in the barrel.
A machine "key" is staked into the slot and the "key" is what positions the front sight.
You can't just "straighten" the sight band on the barrel.

I suppose if you don't mind a gun butcher repair the sight assembly could be removed, the key removed from the slot and the sight band could be epoxied or glued in place with Loctite Red thread locker.

That's a question I would ask the gunsmith who reamed your barrel.

Posting a phone number is probably best done in a private message. Your choice.

Isn't it grand when a plan comes together?
(In my latest project, I found the last pieces to complete my "new to me" 1991 Chrysler Lebaron ragtop & should be driving it as soon as the title arrives from DMV & I get it registered.)

yours, sw
