I can't say it any better than it's already been said. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Re: OT but ........

WOW!
We had a nice Christmas here in North Alabama -- and more interestingly; we had a WHITE CHRISTMAS! I woke up to snow on the ground! When I got up @ 6:30AM-ish the snow was collecting on the ground and roofs but not on the roads. Left my house at @ 9:30AM and it was slushy and wet but not too slippery.
First white Xmas in years esp. for North Alabama. It's part of a storm system that will be working it's way up to New England tomorrow.
Driving wasn't hurt too bad where I live but north of me some roads were closed and overpasses of course were dangerous as they freeze quick.

On Thursday, I stood up by myself - no walker or cane, just the AFO and brace. Oh, I was shaky as hell, almost lost it a couple times, but I did it. Then with a walker, I walked about 15 yards. These people (the therapists) are good folks. They know just how far they can push you to get you to do what they know you are capable of.

And Tommy was right. A White Christmas in Morgan County! Got about 4 inches in my neck of the woods (I live near the southern county line). Grandsons had a blast riding 4 wheelers and building snowmen. Couldn't have gotten any better.

Re: OT but ........

Good news. I only had a simple knee replacement but I can feel your pain...

The snow didn't start until last night in my corner of the world, but we've got a hell of a white Boxing Day

Re: OT but ........

Way to go Irish Cop! Remember, at first it's baby steps. Speaking of snow, we're slated to get 8"-12" before it's all over. The Eagles are slated to play the Vikings tonight in possibly blizzard conditions more like what you'd expect in Minnesota than Philadelphia.

Re: OT but ........

Thankfully the worst of the Global Warming stayed north of Birmingham! We had a smattering, and some icy roads today, but the risky travel seems to have passed by, despite the flurries.
