Tan Garand Web Slings?
I thought this came up once before but I didn't find it.
Are the tan M1 web slings correct? I've seen lots of leather slings and many green web slings. But I've never seen pics of Garands in WW2 or Korea with a tan sling.
Anyone got the true dope on this one?

My understanding is that they were used around the North African campaign. I think green slings came a little later, like early or mid-44. But keep in mind, slings weren't all that standardized during WWII. You got whatever was handy, and that was quite often leather. You might ask this in the garand section. Or better yet, drop Bill Ricca a PM. He knows all that stuff.
