Exclamation AGI vs Correspondence Courses

I am looking to learn gunsmithing, and was curious what everyone thought about Correspondence Gunsmith Courses. There is a College here in Scottsdale, AZ that offers a Certificate Course all thru the mail. Does anyone have any experiences or feedback on the difference of those courses vs AGI courses??

Thanks in advance,

Fat Sal

As a military Veteran I recently enrolled in the AGI correspondence course due most of all to their popularity and availability, not to mention having personal physical problems moving around at home, forget about a classroom or public, that was my biggest reason. However after receiving their course I realize one of the biggest issues "I now have" is financial. Or in other words not having the necessary funds to purchase real firearms or training aid "breakaways" as there were none in my shipment for me to study or to work on. However when I received my shipment I was impressed to say the least with the quality, and I would like to add that the head instructor Mr Bob Dunlap is top notch and has over 35 years as a Master Gunsmith. The rest of the instructors of AGI are all just as capable and just as knowledgeable. The DVDs, books, tools are 1st rate quality for training and for getting started. I would also like to point out the benefits of both the home course and college courses. One with the home course you can go as fast or as slow as you like and you can watch the DVDs and read the books endlessly. The benefit of a Gunsmithing college course is you (hopefully) will have all you require on their site "or" you as the student will have to purchase the necessary related tools, books, and other material before you even begin the course, this I found out from my own personal research, obviously all colleges are not the same. I hope this helps you out Fat Sal good luck in your quest.

AGI American Gunsmith Institue

AGI is worth every single penny u put in because if u want to learn gunsmithing this is the course you need. I could not afford to go to an on campus school because I had used up all my VA schooling. I took a chance and ordered one Armorers course on Remington model 700. DVD cost about $29.99. I was hooked from there. AGI sat up pay as you go program. I am now doing what I really love. The dvd's have all the information to get you going. I graduated from their course and I am making money$$$$ that has well returned my investment. AGI does not leave u after the courses. There is continued education thru their website. Their is always someone in the AGI circle that u can call So get going on ur gunsmithing career. Feel free to call me! 501-291-7556 Gene😀👌
