Don't know if this belongs here, but... (Bayonet Question)
Well, I need to have a bayonet made for a project I'm lead-engineer on, and as a total novice I need some advice about setting specs and finding a knifemaker.
What I know: I need to have one made at least 8" long, made to fit a CZ52 bayonet mechanism (I'd prefer 11", built up using my CZ bayo as a "core"). Other than that, the only descriptions I have are a sterling-silver inlay at the top edge, and "absurdly sharp and thick" (text) and "I was just picturing it as 'meaty'. You know how when you pick up certain knives they just feel like they were meant for working. That is one of those artistic license things." (author behind-the scenes commentary in setting specs) Unfortunately, I'm not sure what he means by "feel like they were meant for working", other than to get a mental picture of a Ka-Bar or a Fairbairn.
Any of you blademasters of EOTac willing to help a n00b out?
