Trust me on this - these are worth the time and effort! My 'smith advocates these, he's both Distinguished and was Palma 20 for a few years. Can't beat that for an endorsement! I know when I got there, it was clear to me how much my position shooting had gone down hill - use it or lose it! Not so much in the first shots, but as the strings continued on. So here we go: are you a firearms collector, or an operator? If you're an operator, then operate the weapon! If you're concerned that you're not 'good enough' to go, that's silly. These shoots are designed to get people up to snuff - it's not a competition, it's a learning experience! There are kids learning there, and you won't be any 'worse' than a 9 year old girl, will you? Of course, you could be like the so-called shooters out where I'm at. If they choose to not show up, I'll simply hand 'em a dress and comment "please accept this dress as a gift from me - an outward demonstration of what we both know you really are". It's rare that I stump for something like this, so take that for what it's worth - if you don't go, YOU will miss the opportunity. |

I'm signed up for the one in Freedom, IN in April. I shot Highpower for several years, but have not shot a match in five years or more. I've been doing more close-range carbine practice/training. I think it's good to be skilled in both areas, but my precison skills have slipped. Maybe a couple of days at an Appleseed will help fix that. At $70, it is one of the cheapest courses you will ever see. |

Could you possibly post a hyperlink to the registration site? I've been keen on the idea for a while, at least since Bravo is such an advocate of these shoots. Lord knows increased proficiency never hurt anyone, unless it's the other fella that's more proficient! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
