NM rear sight

Hi, my AR rear sight apiture (spelling) hole is a little too big for my liking. Having problems hitting things. Can I just replace the apiture with a National Match without doing the sight base?

Have a good Christmas!

NM rear sight

Omega,
There was a company in Norcross ( 4th world) called" First Strike"
that makes a 1st class conversion for rear apertures. The replacement aperture can be had with a full or half length hood , with changable inserts and a variety of aperture diameters. They also can install a super rear base that rides on 3 stainless steel rods and can be had with .25 or .50 minute wideage adjustments. I had one of these installed on an AR-10, liked it so much I ordered the kit for an AR-15. The half length hood was a super idea, as it gives glare protection but still allows you to acquire the sight picture quickly. Can't come up with the Phone no. right now, but if you can't find it, PM me and I'll look it up.

Sights

Omega,
Norcross ,Georgia. See my post. I have one on an AR 10 and Ar15.
They are 1st class workmanship. Got the kit and several different apertures to convert my existing sight. ( use your own windage knob) and had one installed by them with the complete rear sight modification. Solid repeatable rear sight. Got the info initially from Tony Bailey (CP rapid fire ag champ several years back) he use to work there, and he recommended them to me. Contact person was Anna.

It is made in Anna Kinney's shop (First Strike Products) in Norcross, Georgia. Anna is an excellent gunsmith, machinist, and High Power shooter. She was the top woman at this years' CMP National Trophy Matches shooting (of course) one of her own rifles.

And yes, I do have that exact same part in my Rock River National Match rifle.
