Mall Ninja picture thread

Post your mall ninja pictures here. For the uninitiated, a mall ninja is essentially any Delta/Ranger/Marine/CIA/LEO wannabe, usually under the age of 21 (closer to 13), who straps 10 pounds of accessories to his/her AR-15 (or daddy's AR, or airsoft rifle), and needlessly spouts words like TACTICAL and SLICE THE PIE. These are the guys who show up at the range in BDU pants and boonie cap, usually clutching a home-rolled AR or AK sporting the largest hicap readily available, and rapid firing at the 25-50 yard line. May be wearing tactical thigh holster. Frequently post at AR15.com. The term "mall ninja" seems to have originated on that website, crops up on Glocktalk.com, and also applies to any weapon which appears to be owned by a mall ninja. Here's a few examples to get things started:

Note Magpull strap, optical sight, free-float forend, giant Surefire, and Magpul M93A stock. Very mall ninja...

Cant say I have ever seen a "mall ninja" but some of the people that show up at my local indoor range are a little strange.

Two of the funniest things I have seen are..

1. A kid who brought a Smith and Wesson sigma 9mm with literally eight 17 round mags and wailed off through em faster than I could go through a box of 45acp with two wilson 8 rounders

2. A pair of "mall ninjas in training" with a beretta 92f that looked like it was pulled off the floor of the Pacific Ocean with one of those 30 round western mags and had a FTF like once every 3 rounds.

I have been visiting ar15.com lately just to check it out, and I got to say some people like to fill up that accesories rail.

If I get a M4 all it would have would be a aimpoint on a A2 upper(looks old school) and a surefire light without the forword grip.

i remember i used to always wear a pair of polarized shooting glasses and a black BDU cap. i did this from 14 right up till the Florida sun bleached the cap purple and my mom's now dead boyfriend threw the glasses out. claiming i didn't need them, and that i wasn't "a black demon" nor a "vampire."

it's kinda funny becasue i never claimed i was either. i just like black, gray, crimson, mud brown, leaf green, navy blue, olive drab, and urban camo. not for any reason other than pastels make me look puffy and gay. same reason why i like wear my hair long.

i think i have a picture somewhere....

[edit] here it is!

Just learned the term "Mall Ninja." Pretty funny… supremely dismissive. We used to call them "Gunshop Commandos," but clearly the concept has evolved along with the matériel.

Ordnance of this type of was some years ago termed "Rooney Guns" by Jeff Cooper, examples of which are, but not limited to, Ultimate Rooney, and Maximum Rooney… who beside Daniel Watters can identify the "model" posing for the latter?

That "Michigan militia" photo is hilarious… the guy on the right is actually doing a "Full Sabrina."

Dean, I hope you didn't miss the prequel to this thread--it's the one on "can someone explain the sling plate to me" a few posts down the page. It's at least as funny as this one.

Just saw a couple of prime "mall ninja" ARs in the new (Jan 20) Shotgun News. I can hardly wait till I run into one of those guns at the range. I'm gonna say, "Wow, and when you're not shooting it, you can grate cheese or work down auto body bondo with it!"

All of this stuff is funny, yet sad. I will admit that I too am pretty pathetic, ive missed a couple dates with some girls because i spent all my last cash on guns and that kind of stuff, but this is a whole new level! Some people just are missing something in their life and try to fill it with things like this. I say you should find a nice girl OR GOD! Guns are nice to have on the side but my god don't let it run you! My cousin really decked out his m16a2 also. See he has a reason though. Hes a part of the 4th ID that just came back from Iraq. He saw combat and said that without some of the accessories he put on his rifle he didn't always feel safe with the bare rifle. He said clearing dark buildings and night time patrols made him uncomfortable with the normal rifle at times. He added items like the red dot, flashlight, picitanny rail etc. That is what i believe to be reasonable!

That reminds me...When is that new Star Wars movie supposed to be out?

(I swear, if this one has another hour of Senate debate on zoning variances, I ain't going, even if it does reveal where Darth Vader got that big hat.)
