I see this was reposted to another forum- Thanks mods & sorry for my goof:wink:

Have a question thats been bugging me all day- I picked up another couple o tins of some Aussie 7.62 @ $44.50/200+stripper clips and bandoliers. Right beside it was cases of IMI 175gr match ammo for $169 per 500........ I picked up 4 of the Aussie

I've fired the Aussi- love it, but now I'm wonderin if anyone's fired this IMI stuff..... is it legal for High power matches? I've shot IMI 9, 45, and some others but never .308?

Any stories- good/bad on this IMI stuff?

thanks-

Yes, it's legal for matches. It might or might not be the best that you could shoot for the matches but it is legal. M14 Shooter is correct, you should save the IMI stuff for the 600 or the reduced 600. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot the Aussie stuff for the 200 or 300 either. It shoots really well out of my Supermatch. Simp

IMI

Haven't shot the 174 grain IMI but have shot a bunch of IMI 150 or 148 grain and it was excellent stuff. southernammo.com use to sell it by itself now sells it mixed with Lake City, Belgium and Portugese loose rounds for $109 per thousand plus shipping which I think is the best price for 7.62 around.
