The loose ammo is from http://www.southernammo.com/ I bought 8K did a "baby" group buy for some friends.. This is "Mixed" ammo and was $147 to the door "west coast" I talked to several guys who got this ammo and was pleased... Keep in mind that I am not the kind of guy that has to hammer a nail at 600 yards, so this will do me just fine. thought it would be fun just to pile it up for a Kodak moment... Wonder what the wife will say when she gets home tonight
Hate to highjack your post you guy's get burned on shipping 120.00 was my cost to Ga. for 1K rounds from southernammo. Guess It go's the same for us for there to here    . Enjoy the stuff is not that bad some is as good as port Imo.

Dont you think that the aimpoint is a little small for the M14. I mean i had one and i loved it alot, but it is a bitch to zero. It works great for clearing rooms though. I would put a variable Leopould on there but thats just me
Aimpoint vs Leopould = I feel they are both very good - for what they are built for.. I agree, if you want to drive a nail out past 150 yards - the aimpoint may not work for you, however, I do not believe that is what the aimpoint was designed for?? = use the right tool for the right job... I like the close up type shooting the best - but thats just me... What I like about the SE mount... it allow the use of iron sights anytime the shoots chooses...
The UPS man hates coming to my workplace. It's either tires for the business, or ammo for me, or the other two gun nuts at work. We get in lots of .308, 30.06, .45 acp, 40 s&w, and some .223  He must wonder what the heck we're up too at times.

Hey Harley Rider: How does the ammo shoot? Also, what was the condition of the ammo? I am going to drive to SouthernAmmo next week to pick some up as I live about 90 min south of there
Thanks!
