My experience centers on reading a review of the 1919 they build.

I called Valerie and left a message. If the price was right, I had the bucks in hand.

Never got a return call, so I e-mailed.

No reply to e-mail.

Bucks went elsewhere.

Basically the Valkyrie is an M3 LOOK-alike.

The gun isn't made with a stamped receiver like the SMG.
The gun is setup in an "upper and lower" type receiver, made of MILLED steel.

This was necessary to meet the ATF's demands for a gun that couldn't be easily converted to full-auto, and this just wasn't possible with a sheet steel receiver like the SMG's.

On the pre-ban guns, the stock is fixed in the open position, and there are NO guides welded to the receiver for the stock to slide in, so converting a pre-ban isn't possible.
It's likely they'll introduce a post-ban with the sliding stock.

Accuracy is good, but the original-type, crude sights may not be "looking" where the bullets are hitting.

Appearance-wise these look pretty good, given that the milled lower receiver has much more squared-off edges than the rounded edges used on the stamped SMG.

I can't remember the review I read when these first came out years ago, but I don't think the safety hatch actually functions as a safety.

All in all, these look pretty much like an original M3, but meet the AFT standards for a semi-auto gun.
In other words, like the Thompson semi-auto and the Uzi, these are a legal, shooting replica of a historic SMG, but NOT a "perfect" replica.

This isn't exactly the same gun, but same idea--Broadhead Armory M3C, made in the mid-80s. Friend of mine has it, I got to shoot it once.

It's reliable and accurate enough, and fun, and has a low noise level with the long barrel (fake suppressor), but it really isn't good for anything but plinking. Kind of an expensive, heavy toy, but I do understand the appeal. IMHO it's better than one of those closed bolt, semi-only .45 MAC-10s for fun shooting.
