You may now chuckle... I bought a Crosman 760 Pumpmaster BB/Pellet rifle.

It was inexpensive ($29.95) and $4.95 for 1500 Copperhead BB (.177 ca) steel projectiles. With 10 pumps (achieving between 625-650 fps) I buried a BB about 1/8" into the cross beam of a saw horse.

If I ever get any of those damned Rock Pigeons in my sights, I swear, I'll turn them into cat food!

No chuckles here; not so long ago I found a Plainsman on ebay like new in the box.

Wanted one as a kid.

I could barely restrain myself when I shot it at a nearby metal sign for the first time...

It will be Buckethead's first actual pistola.

A guy out here shot at a black bear that was raiding his GI cans using a pellet rifle. He killed the bruin dead. They never said where he hit but they busted him for it. I don't know what ever happened to his case.

I corrected my first post. The problem I have is with Rock Pigeons (AKA "rats with wings").

Lewis and Clark History - Lewis's Air Rifle

Pigeons/rats with wings, grackles and squirrels/pecan thieves are all pop-up targets here. Oh, and my .22 rifle with either shorts or CB caps is much quieter than my spring style air rifle.

Targets of opportunity, right Sarge? Lots of people view their "cooing" as soothing. After a few days of listening to it, the sound drives me nuts.

That's a fact. And, yes, the cooing from just before daylight until sunset gets old.
