Question - Western Field model 720 Mauser

Howdy, Folks,

I am the proud new owner of a Western Field rifle, model "720 A EHM". It is a 30-06 built on a Mauser action. When I got it, I thought it may have been an FN action, but the proofs are all wrong.

The underside of the barrel is marked "F W HEYM". It is marked "Made in West Germany" on the barrel, and appears to have German proofs in a number of places. It also has a really crisp Timney trigger. The stock is some medium-colored wood, with checkering that looks a lot like that on the old Mauser-action SAKO's.

Does anyone have any info on this rifle? When it was made, etc?
