New M1A

Guys,

I recently purchased a SA M1A that was sold with a WRA OP Rod. In checking numbers this is what I found:

7237064 with 66118 below. My question is there is NO DOD eagle below the 66118 as I've seen on other op rods for sale on GB and other places. Is this normal. Any advice here would be appreciated.

Thanx in advance.

Thanx! Well, it looks good to me too, but I just wasn't sure if that lack of dod stamp means anything.

Mr. Jitters: Just enjoy her. I have had one since the late 80's and use it to deer hunt. Once cross hairs are laid on target the target is mine. Handles sweet and fairly fast. Granted it is heavy but I do dearly love to shoot that critter. Good luck with yours

Thanx Smokey. Oh, I will, you can be sure of that. I just cant wait for the weather around here to clear up and warm up enough to take her to the range. I'm also excited about reloading for it as well. Waiting on some LC brass and dies to get started.

Re: New M1A

The earlier Winchester M14 operating rods did not have the DOD cartouche.
