Armscorp Reciever - TG lockup
I got three new Armscorp receivers lately - 2 for me and one for a friend. All three surprised me with the trigger group lockup. First the groove that the trigger housing spline rides in was a little rough at the bottom. No big deal. Sliding the trigger housing in and out a few times smoothed it up. Then, when I put the trigger group all the way in, the lockup was plenty tight. It felt like it should with a tightly bedded stock, but there was no stock. Just the TG in the receiver. Is this normal? My Fed Ord and all my Garands have some play when I lock a TG into a bare receiver, but these are tight as a drum.

That's not a good sign. Did you have the bolt locked to the rear when you did this?

There is no bolt. I was using a bare receiver that I hope to build into a rifle.
Also, the top of the trigger housing is in solid contact with the corresponding surface in the receiver. The interference is due to the distance being too great from the surface where the trigger guard hooks engage to the surface where the top of the trigger housing stops.
