This is my first baby, my 247xxxxx SA, great shooter, no probmems with her!

This is my 2nd, i love her. A Greek RG HRA, its bore is amazing, it looks like its barely been shot and is accurate, but needs some parts replaced.

This is the 2 of them together.

Going to CMP North Saturday, might have to adopt another![/img]

SA service grade & H&R select grade. Both are shown just as they came from CMP after cleanup.

New family photo!

Thought I'd stage a nice photo of some of the wood "Greek mostly" that I've refinished.Top is 2003 Bushmaster target/varment next is my first a Danish SG SA 722000 range VAR orginal stock I sanded before I knew better, next is a HRA all original metal with LMR barrel in Boyds wood Greek racker, then a Dane racker Winchester 2308300 range mixmaster in Euro Beech stock, then another nice Greek HRA racker with mostly HR parts including 10/54 barrel, fat stock sanded down nicely almost looks like Maple, then theres a mixed SA Greek rack thats a 3117000 range reciever in need of a new barrel and a GAW stock, that stock pictured is also Beech with a dark Walnut stain,M1 in the foreground is the .308 bastard conversion 5863000 reciever in Boyds laminate and my new favorite,308 shoot wonderfully. Kimber Gold Match in corner to fill the frame. I'm sorry about the huge picture, I shrunk it as much as I could.

Top is IHC DCM 30'06 bottom SA in 308

Great shooter both of them, I would like to have one of each flavor but that is not going to happen with my retirement checks.

Smithey,
That's beautiful wood you've got on your two Garands. Did you do anything special to them?

DaveE,
Whoa!
I'm not catching up to you.

RGL01 thanks I like the way they turned out.

I set the stocks out in the sun for a few days and wiped the oil off with paper towels. Steamed out the bad dents and then about 20 coats of true oil. The IHC is light colored and I would like to re-do it and make it darker next spring.
