| Enbloc feed problem
First let me say I am new to the Garand. Shot it last month...no problems. Yesterday I could not get the enbloc seated deep enough for the bolt to extract the top round and pass to closed. Any ideas?

Did you reassemble the rifle with the follower rod upside down? The hump needs to be up against the underside of the barrel, not hanging down. Check it and see. |

I had this problem on Tanker Garand. Traced it down to op rod spring. Op rod spring has a smaller end (internally tapered) and a large end. If spring is on guide backwards it binds and you get one hell of a bind trying to load it. I could load it but it literally took two hands to do so. Wound up buying a tanker dimensioned spring from Wolf and it works perfect now. bottom line check your spring |

If it has a commercial op spring it may be too long. Have had it happen several times.
