PS .30cal Carbine ammo still around?

This ammo was in bandoliers w/strippers, and some sweet shooting stuff in my Carbine. Does anyone know if there's some still around for sale? Thanks, Michael

Havn't seen any on the web for a while. I thinkSOG was the last to sell out. Georgia Arms has 30 carbine (reloaded I think) for about what the PS was going for.

What's their site address? Does it shoot, accuracy wise as well as the PS ammo? Thanks, Michael

Georgia Arms "Canned Heat" .30 Carbine, in FMJ for plinking/practice, and JSP for self-defense/hunting:

I've never used PS ammo, but this ammo is accurate enough for my purposes (1" groups at 25 yards from a bench.)

Georgia Arms are at the C&E gun shows. They hold shows in Virginia and North Carolina so you might be able to check them out there. I just Bought 500 rounds off them this past weekend. I did not see any PS this time but did last month .

Tucker, I try to go to all the CE shows in this area(NC), I don't ever recall seeing them @ Metrolina(large show), Hickory(med show), or @ Winston-Salem, but we did buy some ammo from a vendor there, and he had good deals on milsurp, but don't recall the co's name. He was in the back left corner. Gman552, this PS ammo is good enough to kill a bowling pin @ 150yds off of bags, and puts down a nice grouping on a man sized target @ 200yds ! It came on stripper clips wrapped in card stock, in bandoliers, bright shiney, super clean, and accurate. I'd say @ least as good as my LC ammo. Though, I beleive the LC to be a little hotter(didn't chrono it), but has a little longer legs, with PUNCH! Thanks, Michael

Gerald, a belated welcome!

A small suggestion, though...check the date of the last post when you post on threads--you just answered one over eight years old!!
Still, any current info on M1 carbine ammo is greatly appreciated.

.30m1 ammo availability

I've been sending the reloads I have to my brother in Seattle because he says you cannot find the things anywhere up there. Not having the guns anymore makes sense to pass on the stock to someone in the family who can no longer find them. Down here in So. Nevada there are gunstores that carry them in Federal. The prices seem to be all over the place. One box of 20 at a well known gunstore here goes for 29.99. That of course is over 1.50 per round and in my estiimation a hose job. Another store which has just opened up recently quoted me for a box of 50 Federal at 26.99. They had none in stock, and the guy pulled that out of his head. I think it was probably his wholesale. Anyway, Federal seems to be a good bet.

I bet South Korea, Japan and Taiwan have shed loads of surplus if they can get the permission to import it. Not to mention several European nations.
