Erma .380 Baby Luger

Came across an interesting little piece today. It is a German Erma .380 Baby Luger. Looked to be in pretty good condition. Anyone have any info on them. Saw a couple listed on the auction sites, but do not know much about them. It always happens that when I should not be looking at guns, there are about a half dozen that pop up. When I want to buy one, can't find anything I want to save my life.

thanks,

I don't have any personal experience, but they did not have a very good reputation IIRC

Thanks Charlie,

that's good to know, it will keep me from spending $, they do seem interesting though.

I owned one of these little pistols. It was a great little pistol, it never malfunctioned on me, and it was quite accurate. But...it isn't really practical for much of anything. The sights are tiny, the magazine only holds 5 rounds and practically requires the use of the loading tool to load more than 1 round. It's not safe to carry with a round in the chamber, and the safety moves the wrong way (up for fire, down for safe), is small and difficult to manipulate. So, I sold mine, after owning it for over 20 years and only firing probably 200 rounds or so through it.
Having said all that, it's a really cool little pistol, and after writing all this, I kinda miss mine.
