I have been toying with the idea of getting suppressed for a long time, but keep coming to the same conclusion as the Marines: it doesn't make any sense for me to be suppressed if everybody else isn't also suppressed. I see guys at our range with suppressors all the time, but they still have to wear hearing protection because they're surrounded by unsuppressed guns of all types.

All they are are miniature mufflers so, yes, they'll work with blanks but not sure about adapters. Blanks will cause you to clean the suppressor often.

I see that too and marvel at the foolishness. I have been known to ask the guys to hold on for a few minutes so I can appreciate the quiet of my can.

And the infantry small arm that was supposed to weight 7 lbs/under 6 lbs (carbine) with a loaded 20 round mag moves ever closer to 12 lbs And the balance!!!!!!!!!!

As to BFAs, so far as I know, the current ones won't allow fit of a can. They lock into the first groove of the flash suppressor/compensator/muzzle device. I expect they might be able to come up with something to install inside the can to make it work.

Another question, other than to duplicate the additional weight & length of a can for training purposes, do you really need a suppressor with blanks? Burning ~6 grains of pistol powder probably doesn't result in the same sound pressure as ~22-26 grains of rifle powder.

All that said, I'm kinda waiting for the decontrol of firearm mufflers before I decide if I want to spend the money. I've got permanent hearing loss from gunfire (surprise), wouldn't mind making my practice/vermin control less annoying to neighbors and myself.
