I can already see the media references to movie assassins.

They should be selling this as an effort to "align our suppressor laws with those of England". The Left would jump on that bandwagon faster than a turkey on a junebug.

The Progressives, however have already begun their campaign "debunking" that angle.

Add a clause in the law that requires anyone using a silenced gun for an illegal purpose is required to shout "Bang!" as loudly as they can with each trigger pull.
Why wouldn't that satisfy them? It makes as much sense as "Gun-free Zones."

I'd rather have term limits and balanced budget amendments.

A friend of mine asked the NRA about that some years back. They pissed their britches and told him no way! They fully supported the law.

See why some of us disdainfully call them the "National 'Reasonable Regulation'*spit* Association," especially with how they've thrown us in WA and OR under the Bloomberg Bus?

Especially after they actively COLLABORATED with Fascist Douche Roosevelt on NFA '34...

You are advised not to hold your breath...

I suspect my brand new Congresscritter read my email requesting term limits and collapsed suddenly on the floor of Congress.

Problem is most seats are already gerrymandered by party, limit of two or one reelection would give new choices.

Now if I can dream on, Senators should not be elected, they should be appointed by the States to protect States Rights. I will go so far as to say they should be paid by the States and their operations and staffs be State Employees. I will also add they should have the equivalent of embassies in Washington DC secured by State Police and regarded as a part of the state.

Geoff
Who also is sick of Congress cretins giving away their power and RESPONSIBILITY! Abolish the false corrupt government of Washington DC, let Congress hire a good city manager!

As far as sovereign states maintaining embassies in DC, the unpleasantness of 1861-65 probably closed the door on that promising idea.
