Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Obama but this is a bill submitted by a Republican Senator in a Republican controlled Congress. One side isn't much better than the other.

When it was announced, I knew this was going to happen. I'm disappointed (but not surprised at all) that it is coming from a Republican. When will Arizona wake up and put McCain out to pasture?

What the hell? He's from Arizona. Releasing them is better for him even under the rules of base-pleasing political stuff.

Facepalm.

With our government the way it is, there is nothing about this that surprises me.

It is a proposed law, not the final version. We have to hope that the one that goes through allows CMP sales.

I heard some Dim congressman on the radio yesterday saying gun control is a "civil rights issue." Here we go again.

If they truly believe that it is a civil rights issue then they need to start their gun control initiatives with concentrating on the illegally obtained weapons used in the horrendous number of murders of young black men by other young black men.

To ALL,

ImoVho, there is NO LIE that the "progressive" radical-fringe leftists won't tell to try to "advance the progressive agenda".

The DIMocRATS are GARBAGE & unfit to be elected "dogcatcher", much less to any other higher office.

Fwiw, in 2016, our entire family's voters will vote SINGLE ISSUE & AGAINST every single person from the local city council to the WH, IF they support the DIMocRATS' policies on the Second Amendment OR they say that they are "in favor of" ANY sort of "reasonable gun regulations".

IF the persons who are reading this value their FREEDOM, I suggest that they also vote AGAINST any candidate who supports the "gun control advocates".

just my OPINIONS, sw

IrishCop,

While you are 100% CORRECT, the "Gun-HATING left" doesn't CARE about young black men killing each other (OR armed criminal predators preying upon and/or killing anyone else), as their SOLE goal is disarming everyone in the USA, except for the RICHEST ELITES.
(I'll give up my guns AFTER President ZERO disarms the USSS, ALL RICH elitists fire their own armed guards AND right after every criminal PREDATOR is disarmed.- My family is just as important to me, as the richest elitist's family is to the 1/10th of the top one percent of Planet Earth's society.)

yours, sw

I'm not giving up my guns. They'll have to remove them from my cold dead hands with a pry-bar.

TommyGunn,

I figure the chances of ANY of those "conditions" that I mentioned EVER happening are between ZERO & MINUS 100, much less ALL of those conditions being met, so you & I see this issue quite alike.

Personally, I'm less than a year from becoming an expatriate. = I have good friends in several nations, which have NO "public busybodies" & where my "personal business" is just that: PERSONAL.

yours, sw
