Best weatherproof coatings for rifle

I recently picked up a Remington 7615 Police carbine that is shooting really well. I put a 3x9 Leupold VXII and a 2lb Timney trigger spring in it, and it is shooting .5-.7" groups with several brands of 50-55gr ammo. Since I really like this little rifle for general ranch use and plan to do some predator calling with it, I want to upgrade the finish to something tougher. I haven't had great luck with the remington matte finish not rusting on other guns I have owned and treated similar to the way this one will get used. Excessive oiling collects huge amounts of dust in my ranch truck. I have looked at the various finishes that can be dipped or baked on, but what is the best for long-term reliability through heavy use? The way this gun is shooting, I'd be willing to send it somewhere and spend a little to make it more weather and rust resistant. Thanks for the help.

There are many options from one of the baked-on epoxy or ceramic coatings, to hard chrome, to simply coating the rifle with a coat of Johnson's Paste Wax.

Here's some of the top gun finishers. Each offer a variety of types of finishes, options, and pricing.
Most of the coatings will have specific brand names used by the different companies, but most are the same types of finishes.
Do some reading.
You can also get some straight facts if you call APW/Cogan. Apparently Cogan himself is very willing to talk to a customer about what he wants.
